I wanted to tell you

I don't want somebody
I want you

I don't want permission

I want you

I don't want a labeling

I want you

I don't want something nearby

I want you

I don't want to want you

I want you

Sometime else

Memories are stubborn
Tell someone else
That it wasn't meant to last
But don't tell it to me
I know better

I'm doing good
Then the shape of a shoulder
An accent, a whisper
A pair of piercing dark eyes, seen
Pulls the trigger
I'm gone

A rosy little reminder's minefield
Sweeps me away as I'm dust
Bury me joined to dirt of the past
When the earth was flesh
And our life breathed from soul
To mouth
Untimidly

Let it go

The disease of our time
robs us far worse
than any religion has past

Believing in no grantors
we take nothing for granted
even during the granting

In the sake of letting go
we are sending them off
before ever risking to know them

Especially when worth knowing
Where our souls might start showing
we give up a connection prior to

our hands wanting
to hold each other
too strongly

Our souls asking
to let us be
together

So we let them go
these tiny moments
that touched us
too quickly
these horrible hearts
that were getting too clingy
these feelings that we deserved one another
are not for us
and all that mattered

"if it's meant to be, it will return"
but it won't
not if it thought you despised it
this phrase,
this old wives disservice

let it go

A part of you

After we went each on our own separate ways
I found many other humans to love me

intelligent,
beautiful,
funny,
kind,
dancing,
daring,
adoring,
musical,
exciting,
providing,
warm,
safe,
confiding,
perfect
humans....

but none of them was you

Caldera

The glass does not deserve the wine.
The soil does not deserve the flower.
The flower does not deserve the rain.
The life does not deserve the day.

None can keep any of it

The wine can be sour
The flower can be diseased
The rain can be Acid
The day can be stressed

And none of it needs to be kept

Undeserving is grateful
Undeserving is unhindered
Undeserving is always
With arms wide open

Come welcome or farewell
